North State Promise Signing Celebration Held on May 22nd in Downtown Redding
June 1, 2013
The North State Promise is a promise of hope for the students, families and the educational community in the Northern California region of Shasta, Modoc, Siskiyou, Tehama and Trinity Counties.
The Promise document formalizes and solidifies a specific promise from our local higher education partners to our North State students and families. This gives special incentives for our North State students to continue their education at the post-secondary level. The Promise also allows our North State students to obtain an affordable, quality education with outstanding educational institutions, located closest to home.
To celebrate these promises, the official signing ceremony was held on Wednesday, May 22nd from 3:30 to 5:30pm in downtown Redding, at the Market Street Promenade. Student performances were heard from the Mt. Shasta Choir under the direction of Greg Eastman, the Vista Middle School Jazz Band under the direction of Ryan Heimlich, and the Shasta High School Madrigal Choir under the direction of Gavin Spencer.
