College Options Partner’s Scholarships for High School Students

McConnell Foundation Scholarship Program
Two scholarship programs (community college bound or four-year bound) for Shasta, Siskiyou, Trinity, Tehama and Modoc County students.

Grotefend Scholarship
Substantial, multi-year scholarship offered by the Shasta County Office; limited to Shasta County high school seniors.

Ford Family Foundation Scholarships
For Siskiyou County residents.  Deadline is March 1.

College of the Siskiyous
For new and continuing COS students.  Deadline: typically middle of the spring semester.

CSU Chico
For new and continuing CSU Chico students.  Deadline: typically the middle of December for the upcoming academic year.

National University
For new and continuing National University students.

Shasta College
Deadlines in the fall and spring semesters.

Simpson University 
Make sure to submit your deposit to enroll and the FAFSA by March 2 for priority awarding.

Southern Oregon University 
SOU offers several scholarships to northern California students.

  •  General scholarships.

  • Reciprocity:  if you attend Shasta College and earn 30 units, or you are from Siskyou County, you can attend SOU for the cost of in-state tuition/fees (instead of ot-of-state tuition).  Check with the Admissions and Records Office at Shasta College or COS for details.

  • WUE (Western Undergraduate Exchange): attend SOU as a freshman for only 150% of in-state tuition/fees.

UC Davis
Entering first year and new transfer students must fill out the scholarship portion of the University of California online Application for Admission and Scholarships. Continuing UC Davis students apply in a separate online application through the Financial Aid/Scholarship Office’s website.
